Rest of Me is a thumper of a rock song fueled by unrelenting drum pacing, saucy piano licks, and hazy guitar wails. The band rides the stomping beat like a freight train through an open desert, as the vocals tell a story of man who lost his soul and insists on finding it. The beauty of the song comes in the small but intricate changes in the music as the narrator falls deeper and deeper into chaos, while each chorus breaks down into a heavy half-time swing.
